Security compliance services help you meet the security frameworks your customers, regulators and partners ask for, and prove it with evidence, without running a separate project for every framework. Security Solution Consultants (SSC) provides cybersecurity compliance services to organisations in Australia and New Zealand, helping them implement and maintain SOC 2, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-53, HIPAA, GDPR and ISO standards, using one mapped set of controls that serves them all.

We are a risk-focused consultancy: compliance is the evidence that your security works, not the goal in itself. Every engagement is supported by GRCLens, our GRC platform, so mapped controls, evidence and audit history stay in one place after we finish.
| Framework | What it is | Who usually needs it |
|---|---|---|
| SOC 2 | AICPA attestation on controls over a service, against the Trust Services Criteria (security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, privacy) | SaaS, cloud and managed service providers selling to enterprise, especially US, customers |
| NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 | Voluntary framework of outcomes in six functions: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover | Any organisation wanting a common language for cyber security maturity and board reporting |
| NIST SP 800-53 | Detailed catalogue of security and privacy controls | US government suppliers, and organisations adopting a rigorous control baseline |
| HIPAA | US law protecting health information, with Security Rule safeguards | Health technology providers handling US patient data |
| GDPR | EU data protection regulation with security of processing obligations | Organisations offering services to, or monitoring, people in the EU |
| ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018 and 27701 | Information security management, cloud security and privacy extensions | Organisations needing internationally recognised certification |
| APRA CPS 234, Privacy Act 1988, NZ Privacy Act 2020 | Australian and New Zealand information security and privacy obligations | Regulated entities and anyone holding personal information |
For ISO certification itself, see our ISO 27001 certification and security certification and accreditation services. For card payments, see PCI DSS compliance advisory.
We agree which frameworks apply, which systems, services and locations are in scope, and where you stand today. The gap assessment rates each requirement as met, partly met or not met, with the evidence we reviewed, so remediation effort goes where it matters.
Instead of building a separate control set for each framework, we design one control library and map every control to the requirements it satisfies across SOC 2, NIST, ISO and privacy laws. Teams implement and evidence a control once, and every framework that relies on it benefits.
We write or update the information security policy suite: acceptable use, access control, cryptography, secure development, supplier security, incident response, business continuity and data retention, sized to your organisation and written so staff can follow them.
We work with your IT, engineering and HR teams, or your managed service provider, to put controls in place: identity and access management, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, change management, secure software development and vendor risk management.
Before the auditor arrives, we test controls the way an auditor will, sample evidence and fix the gaps. During the audit we help you answer requests, attend walkthroughs and respond to findings. SOC 2 reports are issued by licensed CPA firms; we prepare you and work alongside them.
SOC 2 is the report enterprise buyers most often ask software providers for. A Type 1 report covers whether controls are suitably designed at a point in time; a Type 2 report covers whether they operated effectively over an observation period, usually three to twelve months. Security is always in scope; availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy are added when your customers need them.
We provide security compliance services in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Wellington, helping technology companies plan a realistic path to SOC 2 compliance: readiness assessment, control design, evidence automation, a Type 1 report to unblock sales, then a Type 2 report for ongoing assurance. Read SOC reports explained for the differences between SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3.

Most compliance gaps we find today are in cloud configuration and data handling rather than in data centres. Under the shared responsibility model, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud secure the underlying platform, but identity, configuration, encryption, logging and data protection remain your responsibility. We assess cloud accounts against the CIS Benchmarks and your chosen frameworks, define secure baselines, and run privacy impact assessments where personal information is involved. For external exposure, our EASMLens platform finds internet-facing assets and misconfigurations that never made it into the asset register.

Compliance decays between audits: people change roles, systems are added, evidence is not collected. We set up a compliance calendar, control owners and evidence schedules, and use GRCLens to track control status, overdue evidence and open findings across every framework. Leadership sees one dashboard, and the next audit starts from a complete evidence trail.
Many organisations also need an honest answer to a simpler question first: which framework should we start with? We give you a recommendation based on who your customers are, what they ask for and where your biggest risks sit, before any money is spent on audits.

They help an organisation meet the security frameworks and laws that apply to it, such as SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR and Australian and New Zealand privacy laws, by assessing gaps, designing and implementing controls, preparing evidence and supporting audits.
A Type 1 report covers whether controls are suitably designed at a point in time. A Type 2 report covers whether they operated effectively over an observation period, usually three to twelve months, and is what most enterprise customers expect.
Yes. The frameworks overlap heavily. We design one control library mapped to each framework's requirements, so a control is implemented and evidenced once and reused across every framework that needs it.
Only in specific situations. HIPAA applies when you handle protected health information for US covered entities, and GDPR can apply when you offer services to, or monitor the behaviour of, people in the EU. We confirm applicability during scoping.
Version 2.0 of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, published in February 2024. It organises cyber security outcomes into six functions: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover, and is widely used for maturity assessment and board reporting.
It depends on your starting point. Organisations with good basics can often be ready for a Type 1 report within a few months. A Type 2 report then needs an observation period of at least three months before the auditor can report.

Secure your cloud environments & ensure safe migration with compliance-ready.
